Your next job could have been your last job.

Your next job could have been your last job.

Many people leave a job with no intention of ever going back. They'll put in their two weeks' notice but don't complete it. Some work through Thursday and skip the last Friday. Some say effective immediately or just stop showing up. Either way, it's a breach of notice, and it can land you on a do-not-rehire list. That list doesn't expire. It doesn't renew. Years later, when a facility acquires another one, that flag will follow you.

You never know where you'll end up in life. Sometimes life puts you in a position where you have to double back. It may not even be the same field. Why risk your future career over two weeks?
